Before taking this medicine, read carefully what you need to know. You may need to take this medicine a lot or you may need to take this medicine for a short time. Sometimes this medicine does not work for you. You may need to take this medicine for a long time. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly. Just take your medicine at regular intervals. You may have to stop taking your medicine.
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with you whether you can take this medicine or not, even if you are better.
you are allergic to any of the ingredients in AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET, or if you are allergic to any of the following medicines:
Amoxycillin can cause a dangerous fall from the table, which could cause diarrhoea, stomach pains, bloating, constipation or upset stomach. Do not take Amoxycillin if you are taking amoxycillin. If you are taking Amoxycillin, you must tell your doctor before taking AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET if you have an infection of the pancreas, a tumour in the lining of your pancreas or you have ever had an infection due to a bacteria. Do not take AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET if you are taking medicines that contain phenytoin (commonly called phenytoin).
Always tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Especially if you take amoxycillin. Medicines that may affect the way other medicines work are called Interactions.
Do not take AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET if you are pregnant, or you should not be pregnant. Talk to a doctor if you have any questions about your health. AUGMENTIN DUO is passed through the placenta. It is not known if AUGMENTIN DUO passes into your breast milk. AUGMENTIN TABLET was used in pregnancy for a short time but no longer is it used. AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET has not been used for a long time. Do not use AUGMENTIN DUO or AUGMENTIN DUO 25MG TABLET if you are breastfeeding. AUGMENTIN TABLET has been used in pregnancy for many years (see section "Use in Breastfeeding.").
